A Salmonella outbreak linked to Sweet Cream brand mini pastries includes at least 18 illnesses in seven states. One person has been hospitalized. Illnesses were also reported in Canada. Quebec-based Importations Piu Che Dolci Inc. has issued a recall for the mini pastries.

The recalled mini pastries have best-by dates from June 17, 2025, through November 15, 2025. They were distributed to restaurants and food service locations such as hotel cafes, and bakeries in Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. They were also served at catered events.

The 18 people sickened in this outbreak are from California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. The most recent date of illness onset was December 6, 2024.
Symptoms of a Salmonella Infection
Symptoms of a Salmonella infection usually develop within six to 72 hours of exposure and include:
- Fever
- Nausea
- Abdominal cramps
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea that can be bloody
