Supercan Slivered Pig’s Ear Salmonella Recall

Supercan has recalled slivered pig’s ear treats for Salmonella. Consumers should not feed these treats to their dogs as they can cause illness in pets who eat them and humans who handle them.

Supercan Bulk of Miami, Florida, issued the recall on April 1, 2025, after tests on packages collected and tested by Washington agriculture officials were positive for Salmonella.

Supercan Slivered Pig’s Ear Salmonella Recall

The recall includes:

  • Supercan Pig Ear Slivers- Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices
  • 15.9-oz, 500-piece bags
  • Expiration date 11/09/2026
  • Distributed between 04/11/2024 in North 40 stores located in Washington state

Pets with Salmonella can be lethargic or feverish and may vomit or have diarrhea that is sometimes bloody. Pets with infections can also have no symptoms but infect other animals or humans.

In humans, Salmonella can cause fever, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea that can be bloody.
