Harvest enoki mushrooms have been recalled for Listeria. Consumers who have purchased them should not eat them as Listeria can casue serious, potentially fatal illness. Among pregnanat women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth even if the expectant mother experiences only mild fku-like symptoms.

Harvest NYC Inc. of Brooklyn, NY issued the recall on April 16 after New York State agriculture officials found Listeria in a package of Harvest enoki mushrooms. At that time, the company was not aware of any illnesses.
