Gerber Soothe’n’ Chew teething sticks sold at Walmart, Target, Kroger, and other stores nationwide have been recalled due to choking hazard risk.
Parents who have purchased these items should not give them to their babies. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has received reports of choking incidents from consumers who have given these products to their teething infants. At least one baby needed emergency room care.
Gerber says the product will be permanently discontinued.
