Woman Injured in Richfield House Explosion, Natural Gas Suspected

Fire investigators suspect a natural gas leak caused a house explosion in Richfield, Minnesota, this morning. Crews from multiple departments responded to reports of a fire and explosion at the house on the 6400 block of Oliver Avenue South. Hennepin County deputies rescued a woman who was inside the home when it exploded. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. Officials say the house sustained significant damage and will need to be demolished. Investigators are working to determine the cause and origin of the house explosion.
