SunFed Cucumber Salmonella Recall [Update]

Updated December 3 with additional brands SunFed cucumbers have been recalled in connection with a multistate Salmonella outbreak that has sickened 68 people in 19 states. Eighteen people have been hospitalized. PamPak, Pamela, Crazy Fresh and Russ Davis Wholesale cucumbers have also been recalled in connection with this outbreak.

SunFed Cucumber Salmonella Recall Information

• Produced by Agrotato, S.A. de C.V., a grower in Sonora, Mexico.
• Sold between October 12, 2024 and November 29, 2024
• Cucumbers may have a sticker showing “SunFed Mexico.”
• Sold in retail stores in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington & Wisconsin and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Calgary, Saskatchewan, & Ontario. 

PamPak, Pamela Cucumber Salmonella Recall

On November 29, 2024, Baloian Farms of Arizona Co. Inc. of Nogales, AZ issued a recall for whole fresh American cucumbers.

• Packaged in bulk cardboard containers labeled with the “Pamela” brand, a generic white box with “Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.” on a sticker or clear, 6-ct, PamPak branded bags with the UPC 8 2540107010 6.
• Sold at stores in: California, Arizona, Texas, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, Colorado, Kansas, New York, Massachusetts, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Alaska, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. 

Crazy Fresh, Russ Davis Wholesale Salmonella Recall

• The recalled cucumbers were sold under the Crazy Fresh and other brand names
• Packaged in clear plastic bags of various sizes marked with a seven-digit lot codes that begin with the letter “X”
• Sold at stores in: Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
