Salmonella Recall for Eggs from Milo’s Poultry Farm

Milo’s Poultry Farm of Bonduel, WI has issued a Salmonella recall for all eggs sold under the brand names “Milo’s Poultry Farms” and “Tony’s Fresh Market.” The eggs have been linked to a multistate Salmonella outbreak. Consumers who have purchased these eggs should not eat them as Salmonella can cause severe illness.

  • All expiration dates for all cases of eggs for retail foodservice distribution

Environmental samples collected from Millo’s Poultry tested positive for Salmonella and whole genome sequencing confirmed that it matches the strain that has sickened dozens of people. The company has halted production and distribution to conduct further testing and sanitize processing equipment.

Symptoms of a Salmonella Infection

Symptoms of a Salmonella infection usually develop within six to 72 hours of exposure. They include fever, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea that can be bloody.
