Symptoms of a Listeria Infection

Symptoms of a Listeria infection include high fever, stiff neck, other muscle soreness or stiffness, gastrointestinal symptoms, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions. Usually, these symptoms appear within 24 hours of exposure but sometimes can take as long as 70 days to develop. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage or stillbirth even if the expectant mother experiences only mild, flu-like symptoms.

At the time of the recall, the company stated it was not aware of any reported illnesses
