The recall was issued after the Texas Department of State Health Services notified the company on November 29 that a product sample had tested positive for Listeria.

Symptoms of a Listeria Infection

Symptoms of a Listeria infection usually develop within 24 hours of exposure but can sometimes take as long as 70 days to appear. They include:

  • High fever
  • Severe headache
  • Stiff neck
  • Muscle stiffness
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhea

Pregnant women can suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only develop minor, flu-like symptoms.
