When we moved our law offices into the historic Pillsbury Library in January 2023, we knew we wanted to reconnect with our building’s history by fostering literacy engagement and bringing the joy of reading back to our community.

How To Use The “Pillsbury Little Free Library”
- Take a Book – Choose a book from the library and take it home to enjoy.
- Share a Book – Return the book you borrowed or replace it with another one to continue the cycle of sharing.
- Spread the Word – Tell your neighbors, friends, and family to spread the joy of reading.
- Bring Your Dog for a Treat – Our LFL includes a dog treat box for your furry friend to enjoy while you browse for your next read.
Built between 1902 and 1904, the Pillsbury Library was named after John Sargent Pillsbury (1827-1901) who served as the eighth governor of Minnesota and co-founded the Pillsbury Company. The Pillsbury Branch of the Minneapolis Public Library opened in 1904 and served the community until 1967 when it was replaced by the Southeast Branch, now known as the Arvonne Fraser Library.
