E. coli Ground Beef Recall Includes Walmart, Weis, Winn Dixie and More [Updated]

Updated with additional store names A ground beef recall for potential E. coli O103 contamination includes products sold at Walmart, Weis, Winn Dixie, PriceRite, Fresh Thyme, Earth Fare, and other stores.

Lakeside Refrigerated Services of Swedesboro, N.J issued the recall on April 25, 2022, after notification from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) that a sample of the product had tested positive during routine testing.

The recalled ground beef, produced from February 1, 2022, to April 8, 2022,  was distributed nationwide under the brand names Thomas Farms, SEG Grocers Naturally Better, Weis By Nature, Tajima Kobe Ground Beef, and Marketside Butcher. The recalled products have “EST. 46841” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

USDA FSIS is concerned some consumers may have these products in their freezers. Consumers who regularly purchase ground beef should check recall information carefully.
