At least 17 teens and young adults were transported to local hospitals after sustaining burn injuries at a post-homecoming game party on October 15th. A week later four people still remain hospitalized for ongoing treatment at specialized burn units. Initial reports indicated that an attendee somehow obtained a 55 gallon drum and rolled it onto a backyard bonfire. The drum contained a mixture of diesel fuel and gasoline that ignited and exploded when expose the heat of the fire.
In cases like these our burn injury attorneys typically perform an independent investigation with our own fire and explosion experts to determine who was at fault and if there was any negligence on the part of the property owner or others that led to the injuries.
