This recall includes other stores, some of which may still be selling the products, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company is refusing to cooperate with the FDA investigation of the outbreak and the recall for all Real Water products, issued last week, has been flawed.

To alert consumers to the real danger these products pose, both the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ) have issued consumer warnings about the Real Water products.

What is Non-viral Hepatitis?

Hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver, is often caused by a virus. But chemicals such as alcohol, medications, or other toxins including herbal and dietary supplements can also cause liver inflammation and, in some cases, liver failure.

Symptoms of viral and non-viral hepatitis include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, gray or clay-colored stools, joint pain and yellowing of eyes and skin. Anyone who drank Real Water alkalized water and is experiencing these symptoms should contact their doctor immediately.

Real Water is owned by Affinity Lifestyles.com Inc. of Las Vegas. Several customers sickened in this outbreak have filed lawsuits against the company to cover their extensive medical bills.
