Oregon Lox Company Listeria Recall

Oregon Lox Company is recalling various sizes of Nova lox that may be contaminated with Listeria. At the time of the recall, the company was unaware of any associated illnesses. However, consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them as Listeria can cause serious illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.

The recall was the result of a routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. The recalled salmon was sold under the brand names Aqua Nova, North Coast, and Tony’s. The plastic, vacuum-sealed packages sold in various sizes, and weights have the lot number 22821.

The recalled products were distributed in Alaska, California, Oregon, and Washington.

  • Tony’s Smoked Salmon Lox, 8oz pack

Symptoms of a Listeria infection include high fever, severe headache, stiff neck, other muscle stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infections can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women
