An 11-year-old girl was struck in a chain-reaction crash while riding her bicycle near Mankato on Sunday afternoon. Nyanath Buom Both was taken to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries.
The chain-reaction crash happened on Highway 60 at the intersection of Third Street in Madison Lake. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a westbound car, driven by Hunter Kleeberger (20) of Waterville, collided with an SUV driven by Kim Holien (45) of Eagle Lake, which sent the SUV crashing into the girl riding her bike. The impact of the crash also caused the at-fault car to strike a parked Jeep. Kleeberger was also taken to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both the 11-year-old bicyclist and Kleeberger were taken to Mayo Clinic-Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries. No one in the second vehicle was injured.
