A 58-year-old woman from Dassel, MN was killed in a head-on crash in Carver County on Sunday afternoon. The crash happened on Highway 7 near Polk Avenue in Watertown. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Chrysler 300 was driving east on Highway 7 while a Kia Soul was driving west in the right lane. The Chrysler crossed the centerline, traveled across the left lane of westbound traffic into the right lane, and struck the Kia head-on. The driver of the Kia died at the scene. The driver of the Chrysler, a 51-year-old man from Excelsior, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
