An apartment fire in Mound, MN injured two people and displaced more than 70 residents on Saturday. The fire broke out at about 5:00 PM on the 4400 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Flames were seen initially from the second and third floors of the building. Two people were hurt in the fire. One person on the second floor was injured with major burns. Another person on the third floor was injured with smoke inhalation and minor burns.

The Mound Fire Department found that sprinklers were not activated during the fire. A resident says that the fire started in the kitchen of one of the units.
