A Salmonella outbreak at NéktƏr Juice Bar in Woodbury, MN has sickened at least nine people, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. Two people have been hospitalized.
The nine patients identified so far in this outbreak, who range in age from 20 to 82, were first stricken with symptoms of their Salmonella Paratyphi B infections starting on August 27. All of them are from counties in the East Metro area.
The investigation of this outbreak is ongoing. Minnesota health officials have not yet identified the food that is the source of the outbreak and say it’s likely that many other people who ate at the restaurant may also be part of the outbreak. The people sickened reported eating juices, smoothies and bowls.

Symptoms of a Salmonella infection include fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. These symptoms usually develop within six to 72 hours of exposure and last about a week. The restaurant has cleaned, sanitized and restocked ingredients, health officials said.
