Authorities arrested a semi-truck driver on Thursday who fled the scene after killing a motorcyclist in Rock County, WI. The fatal crash happened on Wednesday, September 25th when motorcyclist Michael L. Bacon (59) of Whitewater, WI tried to turn onto West Highway 11 from the I-35/90 off-ramp. A semi-tractor trailer ran a red stoplight on Highway 11, striking and killing Bacon on impact. The semi driver, Branko Jovanovic (29) of Lyons, IL, fled the scene. Deputies say that Jovanovic went to great lengths to hide his return to Illinois by avoiding toll roads and highway cameras. Police were able to track down and arrest Jovanovic due to information from a witness, who obtained the semi-trailer number.
