A Salmonella outbreak linked to Moby Dick House of Kabob has sickened 33 people in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC. Nine of the illnesses occurred in Virginia, 23 were reported in Maryland and one in Washington, DC.
Symptoms of a Salmonella infection, called salmonellosis, usually develop between six and 72 hours after exposure and last about a week. They include fever, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea that can be bloody, usually last about a week.
