Six people were injured in a boat explosion on Lake Catherine in Hot Springs, Arkansas on June 22, 2019. Three of them suffered severe burns and were airlifted from the park located about 55 miles southwest of Little Rock. The other three were rushed to the hospital via ambulance for treatment of explosion injuries.

The explosion occurred around 1 p.m. as the boat carrying a group of people including children was being unloaded at a boat ramp. Cheryl Vincent, superintendent of the park told local media that the explosion occurred when the driver started the boat.
