A Salmonella outbreak at Al Basha restaurant in Seattle has sickened three people, according to the King County Health Department. The illnesses occurred among patrons who dined in separate groups at the restaurant between September 15 and September 23, 2019.
Health officials who inspected the restaurant on October 10 noted that two factors may have contributed to the outbreak: inadequate handwashing; and food handling practices that could have led to cross-contamination. The restaurant has addressed these issues and conducted a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the restaurant located at 2302 1st Ave.
