Two Injured in Mankato Accident
The intersection of Highway 22 and Augusta Drive was the scene of an accident Saturday that sent both drivers involved to Mayo Clinic Mankato. A woman from Mankato and A man from Le Sueur were injured when their vehicles collided a block north of Menards at the intersection of Highway 22 and Augusta Drive. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene of the crash, and they were assisted by Mankato Fire, Mankato Police, and Gold Cross Ambulance. There were no life threatening injuries reported for either injured person, one who was driving a Kia Sorento and one who was driving a Chevy pickup truck.
Motorcyclist Ejected From Motorcycle in Star Prairie, Wisconsin
On Sunday afternoon a motorcyclist was following behind a truck while driving his 2005 Harley Davidson in Star Prairie, Wisconsin. According to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a Chevrolet Impala, who was stopped at a stop sign, did not see the cyclist and entered the intersection. The driver of the motorcycle braked to avoid colliding with the Impala, but lost control and was ejected from his vehicle. He later died from his injuries, after being transported to a local hospital following the accident.
Severe Injuries Reported in St. Louis County Crash on Saturday
Authorities responded to a head-on-collision early Saturday morning in Northern Minnesota. The crash involved two vehicles, one of which was found in the middle of the road, and the other on its side in the ditch. The drivers of the two vehicles were both seriously injured and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
Five Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Baxter, Minnesota
A GMC and a Buick Century collided at the intersection of Golf Course Drive and Excelsior Road in Baxter, MN. A Ford Taurus was then struck by the Buick as a result of the initial crash. The crash sent five people to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd.
