The following information is about a house explosion that severely burned a man in April of 2017. The man was blown several yards from the building.

North Carolina Man Burned in Explosion
A man who suffered severe burns in a Durham house explosion on April 13 was transported to the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill.

Just after 6 p.m, firefighters were called to the home, at 1007 Colfax Street, where they found the man on the sidewalk with burns to 50 percent of his body. The force of the blast had blown the floor and walls off of the foundation.
The source of the explosion has not yet been determined. An investigation is ongoing.
