A 47-year-old woman was injured in a crash with a tractor trailer on Highway 341 at County Road 19 in Wright County on May 9, 2016 at 2:53 p.m. She was driving a 2002 Mercury Sable, moving northbound. The 2015 Peterbilt semi was westbound on Highway 241. The road condition was wet at the time.
A power outage in the area put out the semiphore lights at that intersection. The semi truck driver did not yield as he approached Highway 241, and hit the car broadside. Stephanie Al-Rifai, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, was hurt in the crash and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital. The driver of the semi, 50-year-0ld William H. Schaefer of Eau Clair, Wisconsin, was not injured in the accident.
