A 39-year-old woman was killed on February 24, 2016, when she was hit by a semi on I-15 near mile post 229. The accident happened around 2:40 p.m. The woman was in a Honda Pilot traveling northbound on the highway when she tried to get out of the vehicle.
The driver pulled to the side of the road and stopped and she left the car. She was struck by a northbound semi and was tragically killed on impact. A Go Fund Me account has been established for her family.
We don’t know exactly what led to this accident, but there could be issues with the semi driver. The issues could be:
- A distracted driver
- An inexperienced driver
- A driver violating the hours of service regulations
- Inappropriate vehicle maintenance
- Driving too fast for conditions
- Speeding
