A Swift semi truck pulled in front of the young girl’s Chrysler Sebring as he tried to turn east onto Rosecrans Road. The semi driver was lost at the time of the accident. Investigators are consulting with prosecutors to see if the semi driver should be charged in this crash, since he allegedly was not paying attention when his rig hit the Sebring.
The teenager suffered life-threatening injuries from the accident, including two broken legs and a head injury. She was taken to the hospital for surgery. She is a junior in high school. News reports state that she is in critical condition.
