A mother and her two teenage children were injured in a crash in Sardinia, New York on March 23, 2016. The accident happened around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Genesse Road and Route 16. A semi tractor trailer moving east on Genesee ran through a stop sign and hit the SUV, which was going south on Route 16. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
The 47-year-old mother of this family, who was driving the SUV, was not seriously injured. All three family members, including a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old boy, were taken to Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries. The girl has internal injuries, and the boy suffered multiple broken bones and a head injury. Charges are pending against the driver of the semi truck.
