A 28-year-old man was killed in an accident between a semi truck and a pickup truck on KY 17 in Pendleton County, Kentucky on February 11, 2016. The pickup burst into flames after the crash. A resident tried to pull the driver from the vehicle but could not.
The man killed was on his way to work from his home in Burlington. He leaves behind a wife, parents, and sisters. A Gofundme account has been established to help with funeral expenses.
Kentucky State Police are investigating the accident, which happened about 5:00 a.m. The pickup crossed the center line and crashed into the oncoming semi truck. The truck was pinned against a tree. The roads were icy and that may have contributed to the accident.
