On January 5, 2015 a Hibbing, Minnesota man tragically died in a fatal crash in Hibbing, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Our thoughts are with the family.
He was driving a GMC Sierra pickup westbound on Highway 169. As he was turning left onto Highway 73, he was broadsided by an International Semi. The driver of the big rig had no apparent injury.
There is a stop light at the intersection of highways 169 and 73. The Minnesota State Patrol initial report of this crash did not say if a driver ran a red light.
