Is a Bar Legally Responsible?
With accidents caused by a drunk driver, a bar may be legally responsible, meaning the bar could be sued for money damages. A bar can be sued if the bar illegally served alcohol to the at-fault driver prior to the crash. It is illegal for a bar to serve alcohol to someone who has already had too much to drink.
