The tragic traffic death of a man from Missouri resulted from a push his vehicle received from behind when the 79-year-old driver of another car crashed into the rear of the vehicle as he was stopped and waiting to make a left turn in mid-afternoon. According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the impact of the July 22 crash pushed the vehicle “into the path” of an oncoming Peterbilt truck, resulting in a head-on collision. News reports said the truck was a concrete hauler.
At age 34, the man was pronounced dead by doctors at Mercy Hospital. The accident happened on Highway 47 at Commercial Drive in Franklin County, Missouri.
