The Stryker Rejuvenate stem recall has prompted patients to sue Stryker Orthopaedics for compensation, including amounts for medical costs, lost wages, pain and suffering, disability, emotional distress, loss of quality of life and other losses. Our lawyers have filed lawsuits on behalf of patients in several states.
Our clients have suffered pain, swelling, loosening of the implant, metallosis (chromium and cobalt metal poisoning), cancer-like growths and other injuries allegedly caused by their Stryker Rejuvenate hip replacement implants. “Many of our clients have had revision surgery to remove and replace the recalled Rejuvenate stem or are scheduled to have this surgery,” said Fred, who recently won $45,000,000.00 for clients injured by another product. “These surgeries are extremely invasive and not always successful. Our clients trusted Stryker to provide a safe product, and that did not happen.” You can contact Fred and his Hip Recall Team for help.
Stryker Orthopaedics recalled its Rejuvenate stems in July of 2012. At that time, Stryker stated that the metal in these hip replacement stems had the potential to fret and corrode at the modular-neck junction. This “potential” has become a reality for hundreds of patients.
Months later, Stryker stated it had “received reports of patients with mild or no symptoms that have tested positive for elevated metal ion levels or been diagnosed with adverse local tissue reaction.” The company advised patients to see their surgeon to get blood tests and have MRI testing done to look for signs of metallosis. If you have a Stryker Rejuvenate hip implant, you are at risk for metallosis and may need revision surgery.
