Our attorneys represent accident victims in personal injury lawsuits against trucking companies, manufacturers of defective truck and trailer parts, and other companies legally responsible for semi truck accidents. To determine if a company can be sued for medical expenses, pain and suffering compensation, lost income and other damages, the cause of the accident must be determined. Rollovers can be caused by any of the following:
- An uneven load;
- A defective part;
- A hazard on the road; and/or
- Driver error.
If driver error caused the accident, even in part, the injured passenger has a claim against the driver, as well as the trucking company and others. When the passenger is a friend or relative o f the driver, this can be emotionally difficult. But it is important that the passenger get compensated, and it is the driver’s insurance company that pays out the money. Our lawyers have dealt with many cases like this, and we encourage injured passengers or their families to contact us for a free consultation. We will explain the law and how these lawsuits are necessary if the passenger wants to be fully compensated by the driver’s insurance company. This is particularly important if the passenger has a traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, severe burn from the accident or any other life-altering injury.
