Our law firm has filed several lawsuits on behalf of women seriously injured by vaginal and bladder mesh products used for the repair of pelvic organ prolapse. Our clients have suffered severe pain and surgeries to remove the mesh. In some cases, the mesh cannot be fully removed, leaving our clients to suffer a lifetime of pain, emotional distress and loss of quality of life.
Lawsuits have been filed against 5 manufacturers by women throughout the United States:
- American Medical Systems, Inc.
- Boston Scientific Corp.
- C. R. Bard, Inc.
- Ethicon, Inc.
- Coloplast Corp.
We are providing free consultations for women who want compensation and to hold these companies accountable for selling unsafe mesh products. You can contact them for your FREE consultation here.
The FDA has been issuing safety alerts about vaginal mesh since 2008. Its last warning was in 2011, when it state that the agency had received almost 4000 reports of complications with surgical mesh implants.
If you have not filed a lawsuit, you need to contact our vaginal mesh lawyers , and they will file a lawsuit on your behalf against the manufacturer of the mesh product that was used for your surgery.
Representative cases:
- Last month, a lawsuit against Ethicon for injuries from its Gynecare Prolift vaginal mesh product resulted in a $11.1 million jury verdict. Over $7 million of that was for punitive damages (Gross v. Gynecare Inc., Atl-L-6966-10).
- This past July, a California jury awarded $5.5 million to a woman who claimed to have suffered serious injuries from a C.R. Bard transvaginal mesh device. (Scott v. Kannappan, S-1500-CV-266034-WDE, Superior Court for Kern County, California).
These cases were tried to help determine how much the vaginal mesh cases are worth for all women injured by these products, including our clients, who were not part of the above lawsuits.
