Pritzker Hageman food safety attorneys are investigating an outbreak of Salmonella illnesses associated with eating at Iguana Joe’s, an Atascocita, Texas, restaurant located in northeast Harris County. At least 20 customers have reported getting sick after eating at the restaurant since Father’s Day, according to the Harris County Health inspectors.

The restaurant is closed while public health officials investigate the outbreak. Harris County Environmental Public Health officials found critical health code violations on Friday and Saturday. The most serious findings by health inspectors were off temperature food like sour cream and chicken.
The food source of the outbreak has not yet been determined, but victims have claims for money damages against the restaurant even if the food source is never found. For more information, read “Can I sue a restaurant for food poisoning?“
