J&J to Stop Sales of Implants after Vaginal Prolapse Mesh Lawsuits Filed

Update to post below: Our vaginal mesh lawsuits have settled and we are no longer able to take these cases. If you have any questions regarding the settlement, please call 1-888-377-8900 (toll free) to talk to an attorney.

Hundreds of lawsuits involving vaginal prolapse mesh have been filed against Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and Ethicon, Inc., its subsidiary.  Women have suffered severe pain due to mesh erosion (into vagina, bladder, bowel) and other injuries.

Our law firm is representing women nationwide.

In the wake of this litigation, J&J has told the FDA it will stop selling certain vaginal prolapse mesh products, including GYNECARE TVT SECUR™ system, GYNECARE PROSIMA™ Pelvic Floor Repair System, GYNECARE PROLIFT™ Pelvic Floor Repair System, and GYNECARE PROLIFT+M™ Pelvic Floor Repair System.

The federal J&J mesh lawsuits have been consolidated in multidistrict litigation (MDL), which is not a class action lawsuit because every case retains its own identity (In re: Ethicon, Inc., Pelvic Repair System Products Liability Litigation (“MDL No. 2327”)). The MDL is in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, Judge Joseph R.

Contact our law firm regarding a lawsuit against Ethicon and J&J for personal injury from a GYNECARE PROLIFT™ Pelvic Floor Repair System.
