The Milwaukee medical examiner has confirmed that two people died in the accident. In a statement issued later in the morning, CNH Industrial identified those who had died as the driver and and a CNH contract worker. A Milwaukee County Sherriff’s office spokesperson stated that at least six people had been injured.
Jim Corrigan, president of recruitment and staffing firm Strom Engineering, told reporters that it’s his understanding that the bus was owned and operated by Strom.
Witnesses have stated that the bus was full of passengers and traveling at a high rate of speed prior to hitting the right median wall, when it then flipped and landed on its side where it shortly became engulfed in flames.
