A Salmonella outbreak in North Carolina may have been caused by food served at Ribeyes Steakhouse in Nashville, NC, according to the Nash County Health Department. Dozens of people have been sickened.
A food source has not been determined, but for legal purposes, it is not necessary to find the specific food source. Our Salmonella lawyers have won money for victims from restaurants in cases where the specific food source was never determined.
Results from tests on restaurant food and environmental samples are expected later this week. If any of the food samples test positive, it will be good evidence that the food product caused the outbreak.
The outbreak investigation included over 75 interviews with people who had eaten at Ribeyes Steakhouse in Nashville. Based on information gathered from the interviews, those who became ill ate at the restaurant on or after Sunday, April 29.
While officials in Nashville investigate this outbreak, health officials are investigating a Salmonella outbreak linked to Smiling Hara tempeh produced in Asheville, NC, and the related tempeh recall. Our law firm is representing one of the outbreak victims, and we are preparing to file a lawsuit on behalf of our client within the next week seeking compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and other personal injury damages.
