A Salmonella outbreak in Great Falls, Montana that includes students and staff members in three elementary schools may be part of a multistate outbreak, according to Cascade County health officials. Further tests are underway to determine if the Salmonella strain causing the illnesses in Great Falls has also caused illnesses in other states.
Between October 30 and November 12, 10 laboratory-confirmed cases of Salmonella were reported from four area elementary schools. Three additional cases, including one from a secondary school, are pending.
