Kirkland Smoked Salmon Listeria Recall

Kirkland smoked salmon sold at Costco stores has been recalled for Listeria. Consumers who have purchased this item should not eat it as Listeria can cause illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.

On October 25, Acme Smoked Fish Corporation issued a Listeria recall of 111 cases of Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon. The recalled product has the following product information:

  • Sold in twin 12-oz packages
  • UPC 0 96619 25697 6
  • Lot# 8512801270
  • Best-by-Date 11/13/2024

Symptoms of a Listeria Infection

Symptoms of a Listeria infection usually develop within one day of exposure but can sometimes take as long as 70 days to appear.

They include:

  • Severe headache
  • Stiff neck
  • Other muscle stiffness
  • Upset stomach or diarrhea
  • Loss of balance, confusion, or convulsions

Pregnant women can experience a miscarriage or stillbirth even if they experience only mild flu-like symptoms.
