Metro Transit Bus Crash in Northeast Minneapolis Injures 4

January 2, 2024 – Three passengers and a bus driver were injured when a car crashed with a Metro Transit bus in Northeast Minneapolis. The crash happened at about 10:15 AM along Metro Transit Route 30 at the intersection of Third Street Northeast and Broadway Street Northeast. After colliding with the car, the Metro Transit bus crashed into the exterior brick wall of Stonehouse Square apartments, where it came to a stop next to a playground in front of the building. Four people, including three passengers and the bus driver, were sent to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Metro Transit Police Department.

Car Crash Kills Gustavus Women’s Hockey Player and Injures 3 Teammates

August 20, 2023 – Four Gustavus women’s hockey players were involved in a car crash in Grace Township, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened when a vehicle ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 40 and Highway 29 near the South Dakota border. All four women were transported to Montevideo Hospital where sadly, 19-year-old Jori Lynn Jones died. Three other players, 19-year-old Gianna Gasparini, 19-year-old Lily Mortenson, and 20-year-old Kayla Bluhm suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, 28-year-old Brandi Rasmussen, was also injured. The four Gustavus students were heading into their sophomore year and played on the team that won the Division III national championship in 2023.

2 Injured When Ambulance Changing Direction Strikes Motorcycle in Blaine

July 22, 2023 – An Isanti couple was rushed to the hospital after their motorcycle was struck by an ambulance changing direction on Highway 65 in Blaine. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 57-year-old Jeffrey Egge and his 58-year-old wife Loretta Egge were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) with life-threatening injuries. The crash happened shortly before 5 PM at the intersection of Highway 65 and 109th Avenue Northeast. An Allina ambulance had entered the left turn lane with its lights and sirens activated when its call for service was canceled. The ambulance received a new call, reactivated its lights and sirens, and attempted to get out of the left turn lane to go right on 109th Ave when it struck the Egges’ motorcycle. The impact of the crash pushed the bike into a Honda Odyssey and a Subaru Forester. An ambulance crew member, 42-year-old Jennifer Olson of Chetek, Wisconsin, was injured and treated at the scene. Jeffrey and Loretta were transported to HCMC in critical condition. Sadly, Loretta died three days later.

Saint Paul Woman Charged For Driving Drunk in Head-On Crash That Killed Her Ex-Husband and Injured Two Others

June 5, 2023 – 53-year-old Bobbie Jo Braun of North Saint Paul was charged for allegedly driving drunk and causing a head-on crash that killed her ex-husband and injured two other people.

Investigators say Braun was driving a white minivan with her ex-husband Paul Craven in the front passenger seat. She was headed south on Concord Street South when she entered the northbound lane and crashed with an oncoming pick-up truck. Craven, a backseat passenger in Braun’s car, and the pick-up driver were transported to Regions Hospital where Craven’s death was confirmed.

According to court documents, officers arrived at the scene around 3:20 PM to find Braun sitting on the sidewalk beside one of the vehicles. An officer noted that she had slurred speech, watery eyes, and dilated pupils. The officer reported that she struggled to answer simple questions and admitted to being drunk after drinking at several bars. After failing sobriety tests, the criminal complaint says her blood alcohol concentration was .201, more than twice the legal limit.

Braun, who was convicted of a misdemeanor DUI in 1993 and 2000, faces one count of criminal vehicular homicide and two counts of criminal vehicular operation.

21-Year-old Colorado Man Tragically Killed in Single Vehicle Accident In Minneapolis

A 21-year-old man from Como, Colorado was killed when the truck he was riding in left the road and struck a bridge support at approximately 3:30 a.m. on the morning of March 27, 2023.

The truck, a Chevy Silverado hauling a trailer, was being driven by a Wills Point, Texas man who is being treated for life-threatening injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Woman Killed and 11-Year-Old Injured When Pickup Hauling a Trailer Crossed Median Near Spring Lake Township, MN

Just after 3 p.m. on March 3rd, 2023 the 39-year-old driver of a pickup truck, while towing an enclosed trailer, crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic, ramming into an oncoming Volkswagen Tiguan driven by 50-year-old Megan Taylor of Lonsdale, MN. Ms. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.

An unbelted 11-year-old riding in the pickup truck was ejected from the vehicle during the collision and was transported to Children’s Hospital for treatment.

Crash Near University of St. Thomas Campus Kills 1, Injures Another

A passenger was killed and another person was injured in a car crash near the University of St. Thomas campus. The St. Paul Police Department says the fatal crash happened outside the O’Shaughnessy Stadium on Cret Cretin Avenue in the Merriam Park neighborhood. A passenger in one of the vehicles died and another person in the same vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The intersection of Cretin Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard has been closed during the investigation.

Death Metal Guitarist Killed by Drunk Driver in Wrong-Way Crash Near Hudson

October 30, 2022 – 54-year-old Mark D. Filbrandt died when his vehicle was struck by a drunk driver on I-94 near Hudson. Filbrandt, a guitarist for the death metal band Gorrified, was driving home to Robbinsdale after performing a show in Menomonie. The Wisconsin State Patrol says the crash happened about four miles east of the Minnesota border. Amber Lea Pospisil (31) of Alexandria, was driving east in the westbound lanes of I-94 when she struck Filbrandt’s SUV. Sadly, Filbrandt died at the scene and four of his passengers were injured.

The crash report says Pospisil showed “obvious signs of impairment.” She was taken into custody and is being held on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and driving the wrong way on a divided highway. This is the second crash that Pospisil has caused while driving drunk. In January 2021, she injured two people after rear-ending their vehicle in Brandon. At the time, her blood alcohol content was more than 3.5 times the legal limit. She was still on unsupervised probation from this case when she caused the crash that killed Filbrandt. Officials say she could be charged as soon as Monday.

Kandiyohi County Car Crash Kills 2, Injures 1

September 24, 2022 – Two people died and one person was injured when two SUVs collided in Kandiyohi County. August Farber (86) of Lake Lillian and Jacob Dahlheimer (35) of Faribault both died in the crash. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 7 and 195th Street in East Lake Lillian Township. Farber was heading west on Highway 7 in a Ford Edge and Dahlheimer was heading south on 195th Street in a GMC Yukon when their vehicles collided. Neither man was wearing a seatbelt. Sadly, both Farber and Dahlheimer died at the scene. A passenger in Farber’s vehicle, Gertrude Faber (83), was transported to HCMC with serious injuries. Gertrude was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Woman Dies in White Bear Township Crash on Highway 61, 2 Others Injured

September 19, 2022 – Kimberly Ann Stieper (51) of North Branch died in a car crash on Highway 61 in White Bear Township. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened when a Ford SUV, driven by Mollie Jean Holter (44) of Chisago City, rear-ended Stieper’s vehicle on southbound Highway 61. The impact of the crash pushed Stieper’s car into the northbound lanes of the highway, where it collided head-on with a Volvo SUV driven by Emily Lucille Mouqsete (30) of White Bear Lake.

Stieper was attempting to turn into the Lake Animal Hospital at 5900 Highway 61. The state patrol said a dog was in her car at the time of the crash but was not able to be located during the investigation.

Sadly, Stieper died at the scene. Mouqsete was transported to Regions Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries along with 15-year-old Louie William Love, who was a passenger in the Ford SUV. Holter was not injured in the crash.

Elderly Couple in Critical Condition After Pedestrian Crash Near University of Minnesota’s Huntington Bank Stadium

September 17, 2022 – A man and woman in their 70s are in critical condition at HCMC after they were struck by a vehicle while walking in a crosswalk after a Minnesota Gophers game. The Minneapolis Police Department says a woman in her 20s was making a left turn when she struck the couple walking in a crosswalk near University Avenue Southeast and 27th Avenue Southeast. The pedestrian accident happened near Huntington Bank Stadium after a Minnesota Gophers football game.

Head-on Crash Kills Crookston Man on County Road 7

September 13, 2022 – A man from Crookston died in a head-on crash on County Road 7 near Grand Forks. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened when a vehicle driven by Tyson Q. Horton (20) crossed the centerline on County Road 7. Horton crashed head-on into a pick-up truck driven by 42-year-old Thomas McWaters, who died at the scene. Minnesota court records show that Horton was convicted for careless driving twice within six weeks in 2021.

Sanford Township Car Crash Kills High School Athlete

September 11, 2022 – 18-year-old Tyler D. Stone died in a head-on car crash on Highway 79 and County Road 21 in Sanford Township. The Minnesota State Patrol says Stone’s vehicle was struck head-on by a pick-up truck driven by a 23-year-old man from Brandon. Tragically, Stone died at the scene. Stone was a star athlete at West Central Area High School, where he played for the football team that played in last year’s AA state final.

Car Crash Near Windom Kills 1, Injures 2

September 5, 2022 – One person died and two others were injured in a car crash near Windom. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 62 and County Road 5 in Springfield Township. A pick-up truck was traveling westbound on Highway 62 when it collided with a car that was slowing for the intersection. Both occupants of the car, Elizabeth Matete Ngisa (15) and Henry Ngisa Nyandwaki (54) were taken to Windom Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, Henry later died. The pick-up driver, Scott Craig Runck (37), suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Driver Strikes Pedestrian Crossing Lakeville Intersection

August 29, 2022 – A 46-year-old woman was struck by an SUV driver while crossing a Lakeville intersection. The crash happened at the intersection of 175th Street and Honeysuckle Avenue when the SUV struck the woman, who was crossing 175th Street. The woman suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and is in critical condition at Regions Hospital.

Car Crash on Portland Avenue in Minneapolis Kills 1, Injures 1

August 24, 2022 – One man died and another was critically injured after a car crash in south Minneapolis. The MPD says the fatal crash happened at East 38th Street and Portland Avenue. One of the vehicles caught fire and both men were unconscious when authorities arrived on the scene. Both men were transported to HCMC with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, the 33-year-old driver died at the hospital. The 66-year-old driver is still being treated. Police say excessive speed was a contributing factor in the crash.

Chain Reaction Crash on I-94 Near Rogers Kills 1, Injures 1

August 22, 2022 – A chain reaction on I-94 near Rogers killed one driver and left a passenger with life-threatening injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened when a box truck crashed into stopped traffic in the westbound lane of the highway, damaging seven cars and trucks. The box truck driver, Miguel Perez (42), died in the crash. 19-year-old Gabriel Lara of Monticello, who was a passenger in the truck, suffered serious injuries. Lara was taken to North Memorial Hospital. No other injuries have been reported.

Pick-up Driver Kills 8-Year-Old Girl in Bicycle Crash Near Mystic Lake

August 22, 2022 – An 8-year-old girl died when she was struck by a pick-up driver while riding her bike with her mom on the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Reservation near Mystic Lake Casino. Police say the pick-up driver’s actions are “in the distracted driving and gross negligence realm” when he hit the girl at the intersection of Dakota Trail and Orion Road. After the crash, she was transported to St. Francis Hospital where sadly, she died. The pick-up driver, Joseph R. Jacobsen (47) of Shakopee, was booked into Scott County jail on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide.

Car Crash on Highway 22 Injures Mankato Man

August 18, 2022 – 38-year-old Charles Patrick Virkus, of Mankato, was injured in a car crash near the intersection of Highway 22 and Le Sueur County Road 101 in Kasota Township. The Minnesota State Patrol says the car crash happened when a Dodge Avenger headed south on Highway 22 collided with Virkus’s Chevy Cruise. The Dodge’s driver, Garrett David Anfinson (22) of Le Sueur, was not injured. Virkus was taken to North Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Man Struck by Drunk Driver at Burnsville Intersection

August 13, 2022 – A 30-year-old man from Minneapolis was left seriously injured in a Burnsville crash. The man was walking across Highway 13 at Nicollet Avenue when he was struck by a pick-up truck. First responders took him to Hennepin Health Care with life-threatening injuries. According to the state patrol, the 47-year-old Burnsville man driving the pick-up had been drinking before the crash.

Uber Passenger Dies After Crash with Drunk Driver in St. Paul

August 7, 2022 – 31-year-old Ashley Amland died after her Uber ride was struck by a drunk driver in St. Paul. The St. Paul PD says that a Honda being operated as an Uber was traveling south on Lexington Parkway when its passenger side was struck by a Jeep Cherokee driving on Marshall Avenue. The impact of the crash caused the Jeep to catch on fire. The Jeep’s driver, Jill Brady (44) of Wisconsin, was able to exit the vehicle on her own. Amland and the Uber driver were trapped in the Honda until first responders arrived to rescue them. Sadly, Amland died after suffering severe injuries. The Uber driver, a Brooklyn Park man, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police suspect Brady of driving while intoxicated and she was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation.

Bicycle Accident in Northfield Sends 14-year-old Girl to Hospital

August 2, 2022 – A bicycle accident in Northfield sent a 14-year-old girl to the hospital with serious injuries. The girl was struck by a car while riding her bike at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Afton Street. Northfield Police say she was airlifted to HCMC where she is listed in critical condition. The car’s driver, an 18-year-old man from Northfield, was not injured.

Plymouth Car Crash Injures Two Bicyclists

July 30, 2022- A car crash in Plymouth, MN left two bicyclists with serious injuries. A man and woman were biking near the intersection of Schmidt Lake Road and Fernbrook Lane when two vehicles collided. After the car crash, one vehicle rolled over and struck the two bicyclists, who were transported to North Memorial Hospital.

Woman Injured in Pequot Lakes Car Crash That Killed Her Grandmother

July 9, 2022 – 21-year-old Tyler Haller was severely injured in a car crash in Pequot Lakes that killed her 88-year-old grandmother, Anita Elaine Haller. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened on Highway 371 when a 56-year-old man crashed his minivan into the Hallers’ car. A family friend of the Hallers set up a Go Fund Me page to help support the family during Tyler’s recovery.

Teenage Boy on Bicycle Dies in Scott County Crash

July 3, 2022 – 15-year-old Braxton C. Sorenson died after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Cedar Lake Township. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says that shortly after the crash was reported, 72-year-old Joseph B. Friedges approached a deputy and said he struck a teenager while driving east on 260th Street. Friedges, who authorities say had “an odor of alcohol,” claimed that a sneeze caused him to lose control of his vehicle. He was charged on July 5th with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide, one for gross negligence and the other for suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol.

Minnesota Man Killed by Drunk Driver Near Valleyfair

June 21, 2022 – 19-year-old Charlie Alleman from Eden Prairie died in a car crash near Valleyfair. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened when a speeding SUV struck a car turning left from westbound County Road 101 onto Valley Park Drive. The driver of the SUV, Jacob Lederer (26), is an office worker at Valleyfair. Court records say Lederer had several alcoholic drinks at a Shakopee bar before the crash. Authorities measured his blood alcohol count at 0.13%, which is more than 1.5 times the legal limit in Minnesota. Lederer was charged in Scott County District Court with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide.

Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Oakdale Crash

June 11, 2022 – Robert Hayes (52) was severely injured after his motorcycle was struck by an SUV in Oakdale. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened when a 38-year-old woman turned in front of Hayes’s bike at the intersection of Highway 120 and Stillwater Boulevard.

Motorcycle Crash in Stearns County Injures Man

June 6, 2022 – A motorcycle crash in Stearns County injured a man after a car ran a stop light. The Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at the intersection of County Roads 7 and 146 in Fairhaven Township. Christopher Pull (60) was driving his motorcycle on northbound County Road 7 when a car driven by Evan Clifford (24) struck his bike after running a stop sign. Pull was taken to St. Cloud Hospital. Clifford was issued a citation for careless driving.

Car Crash in Ham Lake Kills Woman

June 1, 2022 – A car crash in Ham Lake, MN killed a woman. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says a man was driving west on Crosstown Boulevard when he crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming vehicle driven by a woman near 173rd Avenue NE. The woman was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

Motorcycle Crash Kills on Wabasha Bridge Kills Man

May 31, 2022 – A Minnesota man died in a motorcycle crash on the Wabasha Bridge connecting Minnesota and Wisconsin. Douglas Hildebrandt (67) and Mark Machart (65) were riding their motorcycles south into Minnesota when a car crossed the centerline and struck Hildebrandt head-on. Hildebrandt was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Machart also crashed to avoid the collision and was treated at the scene. The car’s driver, a 55-year-old Wisconsin woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Woman Dies in Car Crash Near St. Lawrence Township, MN

May 22, 2022 – A 19-year-old Hutchinson woman died in a car crash on Highway 169 in Scott County. Arianna M. Vos was riding as a passenger with two other 20-year-old women when a wrong-way driver struck their SUV head-on. The fatal crash happened when Michael M. Morse (34) was driving north in the southbound lanes of Highway 169 near St. Lawrence Township. All three women were taken to HCMC, where Vos later died. Cassidy N. Martin (20), who was driving, and her passenger Alyssa L. Grutt (20), suffered non-critical injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol says criminal charges are being weighed against Morse.

May 21, 2022 – Adam Wayne Kawlewski (25) was injured in a car crash at the intersection of Highway 169 and Highway 22 in St. Peter. The crash happened when a car driven by Natalie Jo Ryan (23) attempted a left turn in front of Kawlewski’s car. Kawlewski was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

Car Crash in Ramsey, MN Kills 1, Injures 2

May 17, 2022 – A woman died and two others were injured in a car crash in Ramsey. The fatal crash happened when a westbound car on NW Bunker Boulevard collided with a southbound jeep on NW Sunfish Lake Boulevard. Both the jeep’s driver and passenger were taken to the hospital, where the passenger later died.

5-Year-Old Boy Struck by Driver in Alexandria YMCA Parking Lot

May 10, 2022 – A 5-year-old boy was severely injured after he was struck by a driver in the child pick-up area in the parking lot of the Alexandria YMCA. Five-year-old Emmett suffered a severe concussion and was airlifted to Children’s Hospital. A family friend set up a Go Fund Me page to support Emmett and his family. The driver who struck him, Amanda Dahmes (34), cooperated with the authorities.

Motorcyclist Dies in Maple Lake Township Car Crash

May 9, 2022 – A motorcyclist died after a car turned in front of him at an intersection in Maple Lake Township, MN. Sadly the motorcyclist, identified as William Schwandt (39) of Kimball, died at the scene.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says the car crash happened after a 16-year-old boy stopped at a stop sign on northbound County Road 12. The teen proceeded to turn left in front of Schwandt, who was traveling east on County Road 37.

Driver Seriously Injured in Minneapolis Head-on Crash

March 21, 2022 – A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries after a head-on crash on Hiawatha Avenue near East 26th Street in Minneapolis. The MPD says the crash happened at the intersection of Hiawatha and 26th Street. A witness told WCCO News that a driver, identified as Elbert C. Robinson (49), was heading south on Hiawatha at high speed before jumping through the median and crashing into several vehicles in the northbound lanes. The first vehicle that Robinson crashed into was driven by a 70-year-old man, who was hospitalized with serious facial injuries.

Car Crash on I-35W in Lino Lakes Causes Serious Injuries

March 3, 2022 – A car crash on I-35W SB near County Road 14 caused serious injuries. The highway was temporarily closed as crews cleared the scene. The crash happened with a Dodge SUV and a Chevrolet sedan collided at the intersection of southbound Highway 65 and the southbound ramp from I-35. The crash report says road conditions were wet. Two passengers were transported to Albert Lea Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Anthony Bermudez Calvario (18) of Albert Lea was injured as a passenger in the Chevrolet and Brenda Kay Hanssen (50) of Glenville was injured as a passenger in the Dodge.

Eagan Woman Dies in Car Crash on Highway 3 in Castle Rock Township

March 1, 2022 – A 68-year-old Eagan woman died in a car crash on Highway 3 in Castle Rock Township. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the fatal crash happened at the intersection of Highway 3 and 280th Street. A Toyota RAV4, driven by a 19-year-old Farmington woman, was headed east on 280th Street. After stopping at a stop sign, the Toyota continued on when it was T-boned by a Ford Transit Van headed north on the highway. Sadly, the driver of the van, 68-year-old Susan Jenkins, died at the scene. The 19-year-old driver of the Toyota sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Semi-Truck Crash in Alexandria, MN Kills Driver

January 3, 2022 – Arlys Hendrickson (83) died after crashing into a semi-truck blocking both lanes of traffic on W 34th St in Alexandria. The semi-tractor trailer was blocking both traffic lanes on the 2600 block of the road when a car crashed into the truck’s trailer. Sadly, the car’s driver died in the semi-crash. The semi-driver was uninjured.

Semi-Truck Crash in Kansas Kills Minnesota Woman

December 24, 2021 – A Minnesota woman died in a semi-truck crash in Kansas on Christmas Eve. The Kansas State Patrol says the fatal crash happened on southbound U.S. 75 in Brown County. The semi-truck was pulling out of a private drive when the two vehicles collided. Sadly, Socorro Mercado (46) died at the scene. The semi-truck driver was not injured.

Semi Crash Injures Boy From Granite Falls

December 15, 2021 – A semi-truck crash left a nine-year-old boy from Granite Falls with life-threatening injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol says roads were wet when a semi collided with a Dodge SUV at the intersection of County Road 6 and Highway 212 in Renville. The 27-year-old woman driving the SUV and her two passengers, a nine-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl, were taken to Olivia Hospital. The semi-driver, a 54-year-old man from Redwood Falls, was not injured.

Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Highway 52

December 15, 2021 – A fatal crash involving six vehicles shut down a stretch of Highway 52. The crash, which involved three semi-trucks and three passenger cars, occurred at milepost 69 between Pine Island and Zumbrota. Bonita K. Sawyer (65) of Rochester, died in the crash. Bonita was a passenger in a car driven by Debra J. Bieber (67), who was taken to St. Marys-Rochester with life-threatening injuries. Two women from Blaine, who were passengers in an SUV, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol reminds drivers to slow down and turn on their headlights during bad weather conditions.

Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Motorist in Rosemount

A bicyclist was struck and killed by an unlicensed motorist in Rosemount on Monday, October 25, 2021. The fatal crash happened near the intersection of County Road 42 and West 145 Street. Father Denny Dempsey, who led the Church of the Risen Savior, died in the crash. Police arrested the driver, who was driving with a revoked license, on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide. The driver, Trejean D. Curry (26) of Minneapolis, has been convicted at least ten times for driving with a revoked license in Minnesota.

Carver County School Bus Crash Kills 1, Injures 2

Ellen Follestad (21) of Glencoe died when her car collided with a school bus in Carver County. At the time of the crash, the school bus was carrying a cross-country team home to Hutchinson from a meet in Jordan. The two vehicles collided when the school bus turned left onto westbound Highway 212 from northbound County Road 31. Follestad was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she later died.

Chain-Reaction Car Crash Injures Girl on Bicycle Near Mankato

A chain-reaction car crash injured an 11-year-old girl riding her bicycle near Mankato, MN. On Sunday, October 4, 2021, a car driven by Hunter Kleeberger (20) crashed into another vehicle near Highway 60 and Third Street in Madison Lake, causing the second vehicle to collide with Nyanath Buom Both on her bicycle. Both was taken to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries.

Construction Worker Killed When Box Truck Hit Pickup on I-94 in Rogers, MN

A Ford pickup truck pulling a trailer was heading east on I-94 near the County Road 81 exit in Rogers, MN. When the Ford began to slow down for traffic, it was rear-ended by a Kenworth box truck, which caused the pickup to spin and hit two vehicles and two construction workers, both of whom were injured, one fatally. Vernon Carl Hedquist, from Pillager Minnesota, was tragically killed, and Thomas John Wood was injured.

Tow Truck Rear Ends Police Vehicle on I-494 in Woodbury

A Woodbury Police Squad SUV, a 2016 Ford Explorer, was stopped in the center median of I-494 at Tamarak Drive in the course of traffic enforcement. A 2017 Ford tow truck, towing a vehicle was traveling northbound on I-494. The tow truck drifted off of the road and rear-ended the Woodbury squad car, injuring the driver, Bryan Wagner of Woodbury, MN.

Box Truck Crash on I-94 in MN Kills Pickup Driver and Critically Injures His Passenger

An 18-wheeler box truck breached the median barrier on I-94 west of the Twin Cities in Dayton, MN. It hit a Chevy pickup head-on, and then broadsided a Kia Optima on the passenger side of the car. The driver of the pickup, Keven Allen Parker of Monticello, did not survive the crash. The husband and wife in the 2013 car were injured. The wife, Robyn Susann Grebinoski of Otsego, was critically injured.

Fatal Accident in Goodhue County Kills Wife and Injures Her Husband

A fatal accident in Goodhue County tragically took the life of a woman from Randolph, Minnesota, and critically injured husband. The couple were on a motorcycle traveling on Highway 61 when they were hit by a Chrysler 200 Touring, a mid-sized car. The driver of the Chrysler had failed to yield the right-of-way at an intersection where it had a stop sign. Alcohol may have been a factor.
