Due to the risk of Salmonella contamination, salad producer BrightFarms announced a recall of all packaged leafy green salads produced at its Rochelle, Illinois greenhouse farm. An outbreak of Salmonella illnesses has been linked to consumption of BrightFarms Salads.

- Illinois: Walmart, Mariano’s Fresh Markets, Strack Van Till, Sullivan’s Foods, Caputo’s, Jewel-Osco
- Wisconsin: Walmart, Pick ‘n Save, Metro Market, Copps, Tadych’s
- Iowa: Walmart
- Indiana: Strack Van Till
The recalled BrightFarm salads have the following on the label:
- Packaged in a plastic clamshell container
- Labeled with “fresh from Rochelle, IL”
- A “best by” date on or before 7/29/2021
