JBS Expands Beef Recall Linked Salmonella Outbreak

JBS Tolleson Inc. is expanding its recall of ground beef linked to a Salmonella outbreak. Grocery stores sold the recalled ground beef under a variety of brand names including Cedar River Farms Natural Beef, Comnor Perfect Choice, Gourmet Burger, Grass Run Farms Natural Beef, JBS Generic, Showcase, and Showcase/Walmart. Consumers who have purchased these brands should check the Salmonella ground beef recall information carefully. No one should eat the recalled beef products as Salmonella can cause serious illness.

“Most people don’t realize that a Salmonella infection can cause sepsis, organ failure, permanent injury, and death,” said Fred Pritzker, the lead attorney on Pritzker Hageman’s Salmonella Team, which recently won $4.5 million for a client who got food poisoning from steak served at a national chain restaurant.
