A Minnesota man was injured on Monday, May 16, 2016 when the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving was rear-ended by a 2009 Volvo VNL semi tractor trailer at milepost 129 near Sauk Center. The accident happened on Interstate 94 in Stearns County at 9:20 a.m. The SUV was traveling eastbound and braked to avoid two deer crossing the road, and the semi hit the SUV.
A 55-year-old man from Villard was injured in the accident and was taken to CentreCare Health-Sauk Centre. The driver of the semi, 54-year-old David Dunham of Pelican Rapids, was not injured in the accident. A passenger in the semi truck as also not hurt. The roadway was dry at the time of the crash.
